I love Ashby's. Staff really helpful when buying weights and feathers for my son's fishing rod. Lots of interesting things in the shop.
Lots of choice, a huge selection of outdoor gear including inflatable kayaks, SUPs, wetsuits, fishing gear, etc. Most of it is decent value for money, not high end kit but serviceable enough.
They pretty much sell every single thing you'd need to do anything outdoors. The legal stuff anyway. We've bought wetsuits, sunglasses, bodyboards, swimming stuff, crabbing stuff. Great place for a browse.
This is a lifesaver. you walk in there and it's like Narnia - fine wine, de-icer, wake-boarding equipment. Milk.
Selling practically everything, and will get it if they don't. We are so lucky to have this place locally. The prices are that of a convenience store for the most part. They sell cheap toys for kids which is great but will charge you double supermarket prices for a bottle of water. Close early at 8 which is annoying as it always seems to be just after 8 someone in the family wants something which then means a drive into the centre of Kingsbridge. Longer opening hours is a must.
