Food is alright, bit bland. Tarka daal was more like boiled daal and I couldn't taste the okra, it was just the taste of a curry base. And this after I told them to make it spicy. Cauliflower was better. Also management wasn't cooperative. Gave us the table by the door where it was cold and refused when we asked to move to a vacant table same size nearby.
We are very regular customers at this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is great. The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere as well as being a place for a celebration. They also deliver and we mostly get a take away to the house.
We ordered a takeaway with a specific pick up time, they were incredibly quick and amenable in sorting this out for us. The food was incredible - were from Sussex and this is one of the best take away curries we have ever eaten! Would highly recommend!!!
Our family group visited the area for a few days from Portsmouth, where there are quite a few similar restaurants, so we feel able to judge standards. Maha-Bharat excels! Book, though, to make sure of a table. Cost? Reasonable (possibly below national average) and very generous portions. If your meal is like ours, you'll not be disappointed!P. S. I'm not getting paid for this...
Surprised to say it considering my high standards but this is actually one of the best places for Indian food in terms of flavour. It was very busy so service was a bit slow but the quality of the food more than made up for it. The portions were also a decent size unlike a lot of places. I'd come back if I was in Kingsbridge again.Waiting staff were friendly and the air conditioning was good so I could eat in comfort.
